I recently went to Prague, to the Sefi 2026 conference, to meet colleagues from across Europe, and the world, but also to present a Paper I have written with a colleague!

I would particularly like to point out the discrepancies between how the students with a vocational educational background view engineering as a natural next step in their career path, and the way the educational system is built to disadvantage this path, compared to students with an academic secondary education.
